Humberside airport is located half way between Grimsby and Scunthorpe, north east England. The airport was originally set up as RAF Kirmington in 1941, but the council later bought the airport and work soon began to turn the land into a passneger airport.
Humberside airport is currently owned by Manchester airport PLC. In 2003 the airport saw 518,000 passengers pass through its gates and handled 13,000 aircraft movements.
Getting there by Car / Taxi
Humberside airport is easily accessible from the M180. Simply exit at junction 5 onto the A18 and follow the signs to Humberside airport.
There is a taxi desk inside the terminal building, or alternatively, taxis can be booked in advance.

There are both short stay and long stay airport parking faciliies at Humberside airport. There is also a drop-off area located directly in front of the terminal building.
Short Stay
The short stay car park is located close to the terminal building and is free for stays up to half an hour. It is also a good option for passngers wishing to leave there cars for just a few days at a time.
Long Stay
The long stay car park is suitable for those who wish to leave their car for longer than a week.
